As a self confessed fashionista, co-designer of Project D, and published author of 'My Style' Dannii is well placed in our hearts as a stylish woman who is not afraid of exploring her individual style. Naming Coco Chanel, Grace Kelly, Kate Moss and Barbie amongst her fashion Icons - we have all watched as Dannii's style has evolved over the years into what we now describe as effortless chic - although Dannii will openly tell you that a lot of work and 'tricks' goes into making each fashion moment memorable, siting spandex as "possibly the greatest fashion invention of the 21st century".
The Galleria Fashion TEAM recently had the opportunity to share a breakfast with Dannii in Sydney, where she spoke about the development of her individual style, her latest fashion range 'Project D', and how she keeps it all together on the business front and still has time to be a great mom.
Amongst her style tips, Dannii listed her top ten wardrobe staples as being: Classic T-shirt, well fitting Jeans, a memorable Day Dress, well fitted Suit, go everywhere Coat, a comfortable Jacket, the Long Cardie (!), Capri Pants, a Maxi Dress and, of course, The Little Black Dress. She also provided insight on how she achieves her own memorable style moments....
- on befriending your local Tailor: "When you're buying off the peg, and depending on your individual body shape, you'll find there are always things that don't quite fit right"
- on Inspiration: "I love the attention to detail and craftsmanship in vintage fashion"
- on finding her Style: "I think things really started to come together just a few years ago"
